Fruit jelly


Fruit jellies are perfect for a no-bake summer dessert, gotta make good use of all the fresh fruits in the market right now. The secret ingredient which I have used here is agar agar powder by Meron! Unlike gelatin, Meron's products are purely plant based and sustainable.

  • 4 cups - water

  • 2 tbsp- agar agar powder

  • 2 cups- mango juice

  • 2 cups- milk

  • 1/2 cup- fresh cream

  • 1 tsp- vanilla extract

  • 3 cups- sugar

  • 1/2 cup- lychee juice

  • 1/4 cup- fresh fruits (cut in pieces)

  1. Start with the top layer by making the fruit jelly- In a pan, add water and lychee juice, simmer it on medium flame.

  2. Add agar agar powder and sugar, stir it for another 2 minutes.

  3. In a large container, lay fresh cut fruits and keep pouring the lychee syrup using a ladle

  4. Refrigerate it for 30 minutes

  5. For the middle layer- add milk, fresh cream and sugar in a pan, simmer it on medium heat.

  6. Add agar agar powder and vanilla extract, stir it for another 2 minutes and pour it over the lychee syrup layer.

  7. For the topmost layer- add mango juice and agar agar powder in a pan, stir it for 10 minutes in low heat.

  8. Pour this layer over the milk layer and refrigerate the jelly for at least 2 hours.

Your fruit jelly is ready, now comes the most difficult part- remove the jelly from the container very carefully by running a sharp knife along the edge of the container and gently flip it upside down.
