A classic chocolate dessert never goes wrong, especially when you have a sudden cocoa craving and have to make something chocolaty immediately. This triple chocolate mousse is just right to balance the amount of cocoa and easy to make, really fast. Whatever it is, chocolate is the answer.
This triple chocolate mousse is made in 3 layers - dark chocolate, milk chocolate and white chocolate. ( bottom to top)
1 cup compound chocolate - dark
1 cup- compound chocolate - white
1 3/4 cups heavy cream
3 egg whites
Chocolate sprinkles/ choco chips/ grated chocolate/ cocoa powder - for garnishing
1 cup - fresh cream
1 cup- milk
2 tbsp - sugar
1 tbsp - cornflour
2 tbsp - milk powder
FOR DARK CHOCOLATE LAYER -
Prepare dark chocolate ganache by melting dark compound chocolate with fresh cream in equal proportion in a double boiler.
Whisk whipping cream in a chilled bowl.
In a separate bowl, whisk egg whites till it becomes completely white and stiff.
Add egg whites and dark chocolate ganache to the whipped cream.
FOR MILK CHOCOLATE-
Mix milk, sugar, vanilla extract and cornflour in a container and heat it till it becomes thick.
Add milk powder to it and keep stirring.
FOR WHITE CHOCOLATE-
Prepare white chocolate ganache by melting white compound chocolate with fresh cream in equal proportion in a double boiler.
Whisk whipping cream in a chilled bowl,
Add the white chocolate ganache to the whipping cream.
All three layers are ready. In a glass, pour the dark chocolate mousse, milk chocolate mix and white chocolate mousse. ( bottom to top) You can still pour a bit of chocolate ganache if you want your mousse to be extra chocolaty but this is completely optional. Garnish your mousse with choco chips, sprinkles, cocoa powder or just grated chocolate, refrigerate it for 15 minutes for the layers to set completely.
